A Ford F-150 roof rack built for Canadian salt
The 304 stainless frame stands up to road salt and coastal air. Then the textured powder coat shrugs off strap marks. Aluminum bars keep the platform lighter than a full steel grid.
The deflector adds utility hooks and a light-bar mount. Also, choose the notch if your antenna sits up front. This rack does not install without drilling. Book a shop that knows the aluminum roof.
Fitment and use cases
This rack fits the 2015-2020 Crew Cab. It does not fit SuperCab or regular cab. Still, always follow Ford’s published roof limit. The rack rating does not replace the vehicle rating.
Weekend rooftop tent trip
Spread the tent feet across several of the 6 bars. Then the load stays planted on gravel corners. Keep the nose clear for the deflector and a low light bar.
Multi-week road trip
Keep the heavy box in the bed, not on the roof. Next, measure total height before a parkade. A loaded F-150 clears less overhead space.
Months off-grid
Use the static rating at camp, not while driving. For example, a light tent and traction boards is a sensible real-world cap. Rinse salt after winter, even on stainless.
Install tips
Pick the antenna notch before you order. Finally, have a pro drill and seal the mount points. Recheck the hardware after 60 miles and after every rough track.
