Spread the tent feet across several bars. Then the LX stays planted on gravel corners. Keep the nose clear for the deflector and a low light bar.
Multi-week road trip
Mount the awning on one side and lay the boards flat. Next, set the suspension height before you measure a parkade. A loaded LX clears less overhead space.
Months off-grid
Use the static rating at camp, not while driving. For example, a tent and two jerry cans is a sensible real-world cap. Rinse salt after winter, even on stainless.
Install tips
Confirm the exact year before you book install. Finally, torque to spec and recheck after 60 miles. A low, straight rack keeps noise and fuel use down.
