Bluetti 5 kW Complete Solar Kit for Camper Vans and RVs
The Bluetti 5 kW complete solar kit combines the main components required to build a powerful and autonomous energy system for a camper van, RV or off-grid installation. It includes the RV5 power hub, one or two B4810 batteries, the required wiring kits and flexible PV100FX solar panels designed for vehicle rooftops.
With 5,000 W of continuous AC output and 5.12 or 10.24 kWh of battery capacity depending on the selected configuration, the system can power refrigerators, microwaves, electronics, lighting and other demanding appliances. The PV100FX panels add between 200 and 800 W of rooftop solar generation to help replenish the batteries while travelling or camping off-grid.
- Included: 1 × Bluetti RV5 power hub, 1 × or 2 × B4810 batteries, 0406 and 0407 wiring kits, and 1 to 4 sets of PV100FX flexible solar panels.
- AC output: 5,000 W continuous at 120 V with up to 10,000 W surge power.
- Battery capacity: 5,120 Wh with 1 battery or 10,240 Wh with 2 B4810 batteries.
- Included solar capacity: 200 to 800 W depending on the number of PV100FX kits selected.
- RV5 solar capacity: Up to 1,800 W of solar input.
- Vehicle charging: Up to 600 W from a 12 V system or 1,200 W from a 24 V system.
- AC charging: Up to 5,000 W from a compatible AC source.
- Solar panels: 100 W flexible PV100FX panels with up to 23.4% conversion efficiency.
- Panel weight: Approximately 2.2 kg per panel.
- Solar connection: Standard MC4 connectors.
- Installation: Flexible design suitable for flat, curved and uneven RV or van roof surfaces.
The main advantage of this kit is its ability to combine several charging sources within one integrated system. The RV5 acts as the core of the installation, managing battery storage, AC inversion, solar charging, vehicle charging and 12 V or 24 V DC output.
The PV100FX panels are particularly well suited to this type of installation. Their thin, lightweight and flexible construction reduces rooftop weight and allows them to conform more easily to gently curved surfaces than conventional rigid solar panels.
Bluetti Complete Solar Kit Compatibility
The system is built around the Bluetti RV5 power hub and B4810 battery. Choose one battery for 5.12 kWh of storage or two batteries for 10.24 kWh.
Each PV100FX kit includes two 100 W flexible panels. One kit therefore provides 200 W of rated solar output, while four kits provide up to 800 W.
The RV5 supports solar panels with an open-circuit voltage between 12 and 50 V and accepts up to 1,800 W of solar input. BLUETTI specifically lists the PV100FX as part of the RV5 energy ecosystem.
PV100FX Flexible Solar Panels for RV and Van Roofs
Each PV100FX produces up to 100 W and measures approximately 1,000 × 590 mm while weighing only 2.2 kg. Its flexible construction allows it to conform to certain curved or uneven surfaces, making it particularly useful on RV, camper van and boat roofs.
BLUETTI supports installation using adhesive or the panel's mounting points. This design helps reduce the heavy framing and mounting hardware commonly required with conventional rigid solar panels.
For the best performance, install the panels in an area with as little shading as possible. Even partial shade can significantly reduce the output of a solar array.
Camping, Vanlife and Overlanding Applications
For weekend camping, a 200 or 400 W solar configuration can help offset daily energy consumption from refrigeration, lighting, phones and other small appliances when solar conditions are favourable.
For multi-week road trips, 600 or 800 W configurations provide greater daytime energy recovery. Solar charging can also work alongside alternator charging while driving, reducing dependence on campground hookups.
With 5.12 or 10.24 kWh of battery storage, the system is also suitable for extended off-grid travel. The larger battery reserve helps absorb variations in solar production between sunny days and periods of poor weather.
Practical Tips for the Complete Bluetti Solar Kit
Before mounting the panels, carefully plan their location around roof vents, air conditioners, fans and other equipment that could create shade. Also verify that the voltage and current of your final solar configuration remain within the RV5 PV input specifications.
For permanent installation, properly prepare the roof surface and use a mounting method suitable for your vehicle's roof material and BLUETTI's recommendations. The PV100FX can be secured using its adhesive system or mounting points. Avoid walking on the panels after installation.
Install the RV5 and batteries in an accessible, properly ventilated location and use the supplied wiring kits according to BLUETTI's instructions. The 0406 kit provides the B4810 battery connection, while the 0407 kit integrates vehicle alternator charging.
Finally, periodically inspect the cables, MC4 connectors, mounting points and panel surfaces. Keeping the panels clean and unobstructed helps maintain optimal solar production throughout your travels.
